Welcome to the Eternal League of Friends, ELF for short. We are a grass-roots group of friends who years ago wanted our children to experience first-hand that Christmas is about giving– not getting. We “adopted” some refugee families for the holidays; buying them much needed basics. The experience was more than we could have ever hoped. We fell in love with these humble immigrants– families who have fled their home countries and left nearly everything behind. They are given the barest of necessities: a family of five will get five cups, five plates, five forks, five pillows, five blankets– you get the idea.
We have learned that even the smallest of efforts on our part are met with sweet appreciation. And we love that everything we give goes directly to these needy families. In fact, we invite you to deliver it yourself, if you’d like. We can almost guarantee you will walk away feeling blessed! Come link your arms with ours. As our circle of friends expands to include the friends of our friends– we can accomplish great things.
